When he finds himself falling for Rachel, preventing himself from helping them becomes harder and harder, as does hiding his true feelings. When Rachel meets his cousin, Ankou, her reaction tells him he has lost any chance he ever had of winning her heart.

As he shows them the wonders, and horrors, that Hell contains, he discovers that members of his family are betraying him, but nothing can prepare him for the ultimate betrayal that is to come.

Will Rachel and Robert pass all of the tests they must face and can Kris keep them alive until they reach Death? What will Kris do when they reach their final destination and Rachel wants to leave Hell and all he wants her to do is stay?

This is a fantasy novel, mainly set in the underworld, where readers get to meet a god, numerous demi-gods, the four horsemen of the apocalypse and a number of mythological creatures.
